written at the student of color leadership retreat
one of the ideas that came to mind when i started this project was a resource guide that student organizers could consult when they needed to take time to heal themselves because social justice is very draining and taking care of oneself isn't really emphasized or taught. it's just work, work ,work.
these are some of my ideas, but note that just because they are numbered, it does not have a significance. i wrote down what i put for number 1 just because this was an especially important lesson i learned over the summer and it was my first thought. some of these might resonate with you, some of them might not. this is just one draft that i'll revisit and hopefully turn it into a really valuable resource.
